So it's a new week and I'm not too sure what to talk about. The weekend kind of came and went with no new happenings. Invisible Walls, the gametrailers.com podcast, had its 100th episode. I encourage you to check that out if you have the time. So I'm taking a break on Pokemon and Final Fantasy for the moment. I kind of burned myself out on level grinding for the moment. I checked out a couple PSP downloads however that turned out to be rather inviting outside of RPGs.
Undead Dracula's Awakening, the PSPmini, and R-Types, the PSOne classic. Both of them had my attention for quite some time. R-Types is your old school vertical shooter compiling R-Type 1 and 2 together into one game. The graphics look great and the game plays well. I would love to go more into this game but to be honest I have never made it very far because of the extreme difficulty of these old school shooters. I do however recommend it to anyone who enjoys the retro game type. The game runs in at $5.99 and is more than worth the price.
Undead is similar to Zombie Apocalypse on the PS3. It is a top-down shooter with similar mechanics. It however has 4 games modes including survival, super survival, wave, and rush. The wave round is your standard couple enemies come at you, you kill them, end round, buy ammo, rinse and repeat. The challenge comes however about 10 rounds in when you can barely see the ground with the amount of enemies on screen. The other game types are similar with some differed mechanics. There are 3 maps to play on and each has it's own unique enemies to throw at you. For $4.99 it has more than enough game play to keep you playing.
So to anyone with a PSP, I know there are a couple more of you out there, these games are a nice break from a big commitment such as Final Fantasy or Pokemon. With the weather getting nice as well it can be nice to take some small games with you when you are out and about enjoying the fresh air. Well that's all for now. Thanks again for reading.
