So I am not a huge fan of most network TV shows and I am also not a huge fan of most cable shows. Color me amazed when I started watching a few older shows that I actually enjoyed and wanted to keep watching. I'm gonna give a short synopsis of the ones I am currently hooked on. If anyone has others feel free to leave me some comments.
Chuck - Equal parts Big Bang Theory and Burn Notice. A spy action comedy centered around a computer nerd who gains all the secrets of the US and in turn has to become a spy. Spy series are on the rise currently and I have gone through a couple but Chuck sticks out as being different. It has more laughs than your standard spy show. Most spy media has your dry womanizing spy and it's nice to see something different and I will be stuck on Chuck for awhile.
Burn Notice - Spy action drama based around an ex-CIA spy who gets "burned" or fired. I like this spy show as well. It isn't as funny as Chuck but it really makes you feel like you are following around a burned spy. From the do-it-yourself gadgets to the working jobs to get money for gadgets, the show makes you feel for the main character. Another show I will be stuck on for awhile.
River Monsters - No where near something I would normally watch but something about giant killer fish always gets me going. It's like watching fresh water Shark Week.
Futurama - I was so excited to see this show get picked back up. I have been a long time fan and I thought the show still had so much time left. The new episodes have all been great and I think they have a long life ahead of them.
I've also got Nurse Jackie to check out along with Mad Men, United States of Tara, White Collar, and a few others I have heard are good. As I said before if anyone has any recommendations just let me know in the comments. Check out these shows if you haven't though and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

just a little update
Ever have one of those days that seems to go well then towards the end all hell breaks loose. Welcome to today. Great time out with friends relaxing at their house watching some Doctor Who while eating some Chinese food. As we are leaving we hear a noise from the bottom of our car. A little investigating later and the muffler has fallen off and is dragging behind the car. What luck. New updates soon hopefully without anymore mishaps. Wish us luck.

Random Writings #1
Choose
Do not fear chaos
Chaos is around us all the time
When we are born we cry signaling fear and love
When we die we head for an unknown deity or darkness
Do not fear love
Love can be your guide or give you a reason
Love can be chaos love can be great
Life is chaos
Do not fear chaos, Do not fear love, Do not fear life
Experiencing all of these is the reason for life
I was born to live born to love
I was born to cause chaos and one day die
I choose not to fear
I choose to Live

Eminem - Recovery Review
So I was going to write this review sometime ago yet I just never had the time to get it finished. I had some things come up to which I wasn't prepared. Some of the things are quite serious and others not so much. However still getting past that I think this puts me in a good mind set to write this review.
The new Eminem CD hearkens back to older days when Eminem was a bit more violent in his rhymes. While he never lost it I always felt the last 2 CDs just didn't hold up with the imagery created on the Slim Shady LP or the Marshal Mathers LP or even with the earlier Infinite LP. This CD brings back memories of me at a younger age with more hatred sitting and rapping along either alone in my room or out driving.
The first single "Not Afraid" gives you the general information you need to prepare yourself for the album. Gone are the rhyme schemes of Relapse and in their place is a new complicated rhyme scheme reminiscent of the older albums. Earlier I said I was going through some hard times and to be honest this album helped me put a lot in perspective. I know a couple others who have also felt this way.
This album is amazing from start to finish but I have some personal favorites off of it as I have had on all the albums. Besides "Not Afraid" I absolutely love "No Love" ft. Lil Wayne. Both are at the top of their games on this one. Eminem telling off naysayers and Lil Wayne spitting some of the best lines I've heard from him. "Cold Wind Blows" is another one that stands out to me. It is his re-introduction song and also how he lets us know it's back to old business. The last 2 I want to mention are slightly more somber songs. ":Love the Way" ft. Rhianna tells of a broken relationship and the attempts to mend it and it is a very heartfelt song. The next I'm unsure of the title but it is a ballad dedicated to Eminem's best friend Proof. You can almost hear the tears well up as he goes through the song and you can just hear the loss in his voice.
The album overall is amazing and I recommend it to anyone going through hard times or anyone who has ever gone through hard times. Eminem is back and it feels and sounds great.
